Gavin Snoozing

Tegan the big brother.

We were very nervous about how Tegan was going to react to the babies.
He has truly amazed us ever since they came home.
He is so caring and loving towards them and is always wanting to help us take care of them.
He is such a proud big brother.

Mommy Confession Monday

I am a little embarrassed to make my confession for the week.
So here it goes....I like using the booger sucker!
No, I do not enjoy having to restrain Tegan or hear my babies scream at the top of their lungs.....but I do enjoy using the booger sucker.
When I set out to use it I feel like I am trying to accomplish a goal.
The goal being to get LOTS of boogers out and when I do I feel like I have
accomplished my goal!

The boys first and second doctors appointments.

I am a little behind on posts.
The boys had there first doctors appointment on October 5th.
They both got a great report for how well they were doing.
Gavin weighed 5 '12.5 and Brayden weighed 5'12.
Gavin waiting for his check up.
Gavin getting weighed. We had their 2nd appointment two weeks later and Gavin weighed 7 lbs and Brayden weighed 6'10. The doctor was VERY happy and impressed with their weight gain.
I guess we have chubby little preemies!

Mommy Confession Monday

I decided to join in with another twin mom, Jennifer
and confess my weekly mommy confessions!
Jennifer has two little boys who are 4 months old.
I loved following her blog while I was waiting for my
little one to arrive and even funnier now that they are here!

My mommy confession for this week is that I cried at least once a week while I was pregnant with the twins. Getting pregnant with twins completely caught me off guard and I experienced every emotion possible! I was scared that we could not afford two more babies, Tegan would feel left out, I could not share my love with three babies and tons of other crazy things.
Now that they are here I could not imagine my life any other way!

Our last day in the NICU.

October 2nd, 2009 was our last official day in the NICU.
It was not as easy as just going and picking them up and leaving.
It was a very long day and we had lots of things to do and people to talk to.
We had an amazing experience at the NICU and grew very close to the nurses. It was so great to know that our babies were taken care of with so much love!
We gave the boys one last bath before we left.
The babies all ready in their car seats to go home.

Tegan was super excited to have the babies home.
He was even happier when he open his Batman castle the babies gave him.

The Call or should I say "the Picture".

Last Wednesday the 30th I received a picture message from one of the urses in the NICU with the picture below. It said, "Look close." Right away I noticed the babies did not have their feeding tubes in. We had been told that once they got their feeding tubes out they would go home in about 48 hours. I was in complete shock because I had just left the hospital and did not expect this to happen. We went into a excited panic mode.
That evening we cleaned the whole house, set up two pak and plays, put together the stroller, set the cars up with car seats and bases and tons of other stuff! By the end of the night we were ready for them to come home!
