You can't leave anything laying around....

Sunday night after our 2nd birthday party for the weekend....I was putting away laundry and heard Tegan yelling, "Woooo Hoooo!"

I had left the curling ribbon out and Tegan thought it would be
fun to throw it around.
Silly Boy.

Logan's Birthday Party

On Sunday we had another birthday party with Kendra and Logan. It was Logan 's 2nd Birthday Party. Logan is our good friends Jen and Dave's nephew. We have gotten to know his mom and dad, Kendra and Jim since they moved to Colorado from California. It is funny because now there are two Kendra's and two Logan's. The kids had fun playing in the sprinkler, pool and water table.

Tegan and the birthday boy playing in the pool.

Tegan had lots of fun playing on Logan's cars.

Tegan was very into playing soccer. I was surprised how much he liked it!
Maybe we will have to look into some future soccer lessons.

Every time Tegan sees Dave he asks him to do the rocket.

Dave was so tired from working long hours for the DNC but he could not say no to Tegan.

Dave, Jen and Logan R. dave and Jenn are having their first baby in January. We cannot wait to find out what they are having.

My Husband is MIA.....

So I know Stacy is going to think I am a complete dork for posting this picture but oh well. I took this picture of him last week before he started his shifts for the Democratic National Convention. He has a special uniform and all! I am actually looking forward to this weekend being over because we have only got to see him in passing lately. Luckily he ended up getting Friday night off so he will get to celebrate my birthday with us and then works the rest of the weekend! He has been working a crazy amount of hours and we are really looking forward to spending some time with him when it is all over!

Kayden's Olympic Birthday Party

This past Saturday Tegan and I went to Colorado Springs to attend Kayden's 2nd Birthday party. We were very excited to go a visit since we do not get to she Shannon, Ross, Kendal and Kayden hat often anymore. We really do miss them living 5 minutes away!

The party was at the Sprinkler park...which was a blast for Tegan.

After all of the kids played in the water it was time for the Olympic Games.
All the kids lined up to start the first event.

Tegan taking his turn at the Shut Put throw.

Next was the long jump contest which actually turned into the hopping race.

Shannon made a Olympic Ring cupcake cake that turned out great!

Waiting very patiently.

As you can tell all the kids really enjoyed their cupcakes.

The birthday boy showing off his cake!

We finished off the party playing at the park for a few minutes.
Tegan was very sad to leave and asked, "Kendal's house Mommy?" the whole way home!
We can not wait to play again soon!

Logan's 1st Birthday Party

This past weekend we went to our good friend's Nick and Kendra's little boy Logan's 1st birthday party. It was a John Deere Theme birthday. I offered to make the cake and cup cakes for the party and they turned out great!

The tractor cake.

I found the cutest recipe for corn on the cob cup cakes. I was a little nervous to make them but I think they really looked like corn on the cob!

Logan waiting for his birthday cake!!!

It did not take long for him to get the hang of it!

Tegan taking his turn with the pinata.

Digging in for the candy!

Tegan ended up getting 5 suckers from the pinata. He ended up opening all of them and walked around with them in his hand. Luckily he only ate one and just carried the rest around.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOGAN!

Potty Training Update

Tegan is doing much better than I anticipated with the potty training adventure. Since we made the transition to Pull Ups on Monday night he has gone pee pee in the potty in the mornings and at night. Today he went in the morning, when we got home from daycare and then at bath time...so 3 times. He has still not gone at school but tries at least 5 times a day. I am sure he will get there soon. He may just be a little pee shy in front of all his pretty teachers! Needless to say we have been spending a lot of time hanging out in the bathroom. I bought some new flash cards and he is getting lots of extra practice with his 123's and ABC's! I highly recommend these flash cards also (I found ours at Target). They have tons of activities on them and are laminated so they can even learn to trace the letters with crayons!
Check him out! You may want to mute the music at the bottom.

Old Video

Tonight I plugged in my old camera and came across a lost video of Tegan from 6 months ago.
He is such a cutie!

No More Baby Diapers

Lately we have been putting a lot of thought into what to do to get ready for Tegan's potty training adventure. Last week I realized he was the only on at his school still in "normal' diapers so we decided to get some pull ups. I sent Stacy to buy some pull ups and a box of diapers at Costco. (We had a plan to do pull ups at school and diapers at home) When he got home he called me at work and said, "I had no idea there were boy and girl pull ups." I asked why and he said, "Well I am sitting here looking at a box of pink pull ups that have Disney PrIncesses on them." So needless to say he had to go return them. Then I watched a video on how it may be confusing to do normal diapers and pull ups so I decided that I should return the box of diapers and just get more pull ups. Sorry that's a lot of rambling.... I know! Tonight was the day we ran out of diapers. Since Tegan has really not been interested in the whole potty training thing I thought we should make a really big deal about switching to pull ups. Tonight after dinner we went in the bathroom and revealed the pull ups. Tegan was super excited. Then he sat on his potty and decorated them with stickers.

All three of us sat in the bathroom for 30 minutes (Tegan on the potty) doing number flash cards and singing. All of the sudden Tegan started walking around and trying to put his pull up on and saying, "Pee Pee." We moved his potty over and told him to go in the potty and he just stood their and peed in his potty. Tegan was so excited and super happy. Stacy and I may have been a little more excited!

If you can not tell he was just a little excited! Here he is saying, "Big Boy Mommy."

We both realize we have a LONG potty training adventure ahead but the pee in the potty really made all of this planning worth while tonight!

Pool Time Again

On Saturday we went to my parents neighborhood pool for a BBQ again. Tegan got to play with my parents friends grand daughter, Savanah. He was very excited to show off his new learned skill of rolling down the hill!

They were so cute holding hands before every role.
