Anyone who knows me knows that I tend to be stubborn. Well earlier in the day I called our photographer and asked her to come take some maternity pictures because I knew the babies were coming. She agreed to come at 4:30pm. The nurse started asking me around noon if I was feeling contractions and I just kept saying, "not too bad." Well after 20 minutes of pictures I told everyone we needed to stop and have the doctor come in. The doctor checked me and her mouth dropped. I was fully dilated and ready to deliver. We ended up going straight to the operating room. Luckily I was able to get a spinal block and 20 minutes later the boys were out!

August 27th, 2009
Gavin was born at 5:47 pm and weighed 3 pounds 12 ounces and Brayden was born at 5:51 pm and weighed 3 pounds 7.5 ounces. They were both 17 inches long.

Tegan was so excited to see his brothers!
Both boys are doing terrific and are already off of their oxygen.
On Friday night Gavin and Brayden got taken off of their ventilators and we got to hold the babies for the first time since they were born.

Stacy, his mom, Tegan and Matthew all spent the day at Heritage Square  few weeks back.
By the looks of the pictures they had a great time!

Tegan is getting so brave!

Jeff Sings at the Rockies Game

On June 26th my step-dad Jeff had the opportunity to sing America the Beautiful at the Rockies game and we all got to tag along to the game.
Jeff did great and Tegan had a blast at the game!

St. Anne's Summer Bizarra

Several weeks ago we took Tegan to St. Anne's Bizarra in Arvada.
It was a great time. Tegan insisted on waiting in line to go down the huge foam slide. He climbed all the way up by himself and then we think he got confused because he just climbed back down.
Stacy was the lucky one who got to climb back up with
Tegan and then he went down the slide all by himself.

The parachute ride!
Tegan is getting soooo brave.

Tegan loved dancing to all of the live music.
He didn't mind one bit that he was the only one dancing.

Batman to the Rescue!

28 weeks

So I am not messing around with this baby growing business!
I really feel like I am bigger every other day! But according to the "books" and "doctors" I am right smack in the middle of the time twins gain all their weight!
I have to say that I feel it happening and I think they are growing well!
They get measured on Tuesday so we will see!

So here is a picture of me at 37 weeks...3 days before
Tegan was born. I think I am about the same size in my picture now!
What do you think?

Random Weekend Fun

A few weekends ago Stacy's mom went and picked up a bunch of corn from Nebraska. Of course we got some too! Stacy and Tegan worked hard shucking the corn.

The sprinkler park that we have got to for the past few summers
has been closed and finally opened up!
Tegan was very excited to play in the sprinklers!
