Last night Tegan got to meet more family for the first time. Here he is with his Grandma Marlene, Daddy and his Great Grandpa Marlin.
His Aunt Ashlee loves holding him. She is even willing to fight other's to get him.
He also got to meet his Great Aunt Beverly and Uncle Melvin.
"We enjoyed getting to see everyone, hopefully we will see you again soon! Thanks so much for coming out to Colorado!"

Last night Tegan's aunt Jewel's and cousin Matthew came over and had a slumber party. Everyone had lots of fun. They watched movies, wrestled with Stacy and had root beer floats! Everyone decided that it would be fun to get up at 6:15 in the morning to start playing again! Friday, January 27, 2006
Tonight was Tegan's first real bath. He really enjoyed it a lot and did not cry once. He even played with some of his bath toys!!! (Or maybe it was Mom and Dad who played with them)
It was lots of fun to put him in one of his new bath time towels. After his bath he went straight to bed and so did Mom and Dad. It was great. We decided that maybe bath time should be at 7 o'clock every night... if it means he will go straight to bed.

Tegan is becoming a very messy eater. It is hard to see but his whole face is covered in milk; including his entire nose. If you click on the picture it will enlarge the picture so you see his face better.
Tegan had fun visiting with Grandma Marlene today. It had been a whole week since they saw each other so they were both glad to beable to spend time together.
This evening we went to visit Tegan's Great-great Aunts Cleo and Velda, his Great-great Uncle Bob and Grandma Marlene. He was a little cranky in the picture because it was his dinner time but soon fell asleep.Tuesday, January 24, 2006
Today Daddy had a dentist appointment and we decided to tag along. We got bored towards the end and I decided to take some pictures of Tegan in his GAP outfit.
We also had our first experience with changing his diaper in the car and he decided to "break" Daddy's car in by spitting up all over the back seat! Before this would have made Stacy very mad but when I told him today he just grabbed Tegan; hugged him and said that's ok!Monday, January 23, 2006
Today Tegan had his 2 week check up! He now weighs 7 pounds 2 ounces and is 20 inches long. The doctor said he is doing great. We thought he was going to make it without peeing on the scale...But right when we were almost done he decided to let it all go!
After the doctors we took Tegan on his first stroller ride around the lake by our house. Stacy was very happy to finally get to test out the new jogging stroller.
Tegan slept the whole time we were on our walk!

Today we watched the AFC championship game at Grandma Moes house with our good friends Oscar, Shannon, Ross and Kendal. Stacy and I wore our matching shirts that his mom bought for us and Tegan also had his Bronco gear on. Unfortunately it was not enough to help the Broncos. Boo!!! No superbowl this year for the Broncos. At least they made it as far as they did.
Kendal had lots of fun playing on the big girl blow up chair!

Oscar was not too happy about wearing the Broncos shirt. (He is a Cowboys fan) but he was willing to put it on anyways for a picture.

Aunt Jessie and Jewels came over to visit with Tegan today. He loves spending time with his aunts. Jessie has been trying to spend as much time with Tegan as possible since she is leaving to go back to school in Grand Junction on Saturday. She got her wish for him to come before she had to leave so she has been very happy.
Jewels loves feeling like a big girl and getting to hold Tegan all by herself.Tuesday, January 17, 2006

Grandma Deaver came over to finish the stenciling in Tegan's room. Since he decided to come early his nursery was not completely finished yet. When I went to check and see how the stenciling was going this is what I found!! I think she was able to get more done once we left to go to the doctors.
Tegan and daddy layed on the floor and enjoyed the sunlight together yesterday morning.
Tegan had his first doctors appointment yesterday. He did really well and did not even pee anywhere when he was naked. He actually seemed to enjoy having his clothes off in public. Hopefully he grows out of this. The doctor said that he looks great! He now weighs 6 pounds 5 ounces, which is good because he was 6 pounds 1 ounces when we left the hospital.
"My life is just so great!"

It was a little chilly out so we had to bundle him all up.
Grandma Deaver calls him T-Bear which seems very appropriate for this picture!Wednesday, January 11, 2006

I intially created Tegan's blog last week expecting him to not be here for a few weeks. Well I guess I spoke to soon!!!! Tegan Gregory Schantz decided to join us on January 9, 2006 at 4:56pm.
On Monday morning I woke up at 8:30 and was feeling a little "crampy" but didn't want to make to much out of it. I ended up calling the doctor and making an appointment for 1:30 pm, just to get checked out because I had began bleeding. The remainder of the moring I walked and paced alot. Stacy had worked all night so I tried to be quiet because he needed to get some sleep. I woke Stacy up around 11:00 and told him we needed to pack my bag and go to the doctor because I thought I may be in labor. He seemed a little confused but quickly started packing. Once we arrived at the doctor they confirmed that I was 5 cm. dialated and in labor. We quickly went home and got a few more things together. Once we arrived at the hospital 1 hour later I was already 8 cm. dialated and the doctor announced that I would not have time to get an epidural or any pain medication due to how quicly he was going to be here. Well without any planning and only 45 minutes of pushing ...he was here.

Stacy was an amazing coach and has been on cloud 9 for the past couple of days!!!!

"Please hurry up and take the picture!"
We left the hospital at 3:00 pm an Wednesday the 11th. It feels great to be home and not have to eat hospital food anymore. Stacy just found out that he does not go to work until Febuary 13th, so we have lots of time to adjust and take pictures. Keep checking Tegan's blog for updates
