Grapes, Grapes and more Grapes!

Stacy was working the weekend before last so Sunday evening Tegan and I headed over to my parents. My mom has a grape arbor in her backyard and started making grape jelly a few years ago. I decided to try and learn how to make and can the jelly. It turned out great but is a ton of work! Maybe next summer I will make something out of the apples on our apple tree.

Sprinkler Park

On Sunday Tegan was back to feeling great so we headed down to the Sprinkler Park.

As soon as we get there Tegan is straight in the water.

Happy Birthday to me.

My 28th Birthday was on Friday August 29th. We had originally planned on going out to dinner with my parents, Jewels and Marlene to Benihanas. Our plans changed a little bit due to Tegan not feeling well. We got a call from daycare on Friday that he had a 103 temp. I called Stacy and he was on his way to get him. We only live 5 minutes from the daycare! Once he got there they said Tegan had just got done having a seizure. Stacy took him straight to the doctor which is actually across the street from daycare. They checked him out and just said it was another febrile seizure. Apparently there is nothing we can do about it either...just try to keep his temp. down when he gets fevers! It is really frustrating. To make things more aggravating I was in Colo. Springs for a training and all I wanted to do was be home with him. It happened at noon and I did not get home till 5pm. So needless to say our plans changed a bit! We ended up having pizza and everyone came over to our house. It was actually the perfect birthday celebration in my mind!

Check out Tegan's cheeks ready to blow out the candles!

Sometimes a mommy just has to take kisses.

Marlene, Jewels and Tegan. My mom was taking all of the pictures during the night and somehow I ended up with no pictures of her or Jeff!

Jewels and Tegan cuddling at the end of the night.

Lots of pee pee going on!

Our days lately are spent with Tegan in the nude and the potty very close!

He has been doing very well going potty and he is so proud of himself! It is so cute to here him start singing the pee pee potty song and tell his pee pee goodbye. He has even gone #2 in the potty three times.

It has been a little bit of an adjustment for him to wear big boy undies! We did have somewhat of a success the other night. We were in the front yard watering the flowers and he had his undies on. All the sudden Tegan started saying, "Potty Potty." I did not have time to to get the potty so before I knew it he had his undies down and was helping me water the flowers!

You can't leave anything laying around....

Sunday night after our 2nd birthday party for the weekend....I was putting away laundry and heard Tegan yelling, "Woooo Hoooo!"

I had left the curling ribbon out and Tegan thought it would be
fun to throw it around.
Silly Boy.

Logan's Birthday Party

On Sunday we had another birthday party with Kendra and Logan. It was Logan 's 2nd Birthday Party. Logan is our good friends Jen and Dave's nephew. We have gotten to know his mom and dad, Kendra and Jim since they moved to Colorado from California. It is funny because now there are two Kendra's and two Logan's. The kids had fun playing in the sprinkler, pool and water table.

Tegan and the birthday boy playing in the pool.

Tegan had lots of fun playing on Logan's cars.

Tegan was very into playing soccer. I was surprised how much he liked it!
Maybe we will have to look into some future soccer lessons.

Every time Tegan sees Dave he asks him to do the rocket.

Dave was so tired from working long hours for the DNC but he could not say no to Tegan.

Dave, Jen and Logan R. dave and Jenn are having their first baby in January. We cannot wait to find out what they are having.

My Husband is MIA.....

So I know Stacy is going to think I am a complete dork for posting this picture but oh well. I took this picture of him last week before he started his shifts for the Democratic National Convention. He has a special uniform and all! I am actually looking forward to this weekend being over because we have only got to see him in passing lately. Luckily he ended up getting Friday night off so he will get to celebrate my birthday with us and then works the rest of the weekend! He has been working a crazy amount of hours and we are really looking forward to spending some time with him when it is all over!

Kayden's Olympic Birthday Party

This past Saturday Tegan and I went to Colorado Springs to attend Kayden's 2nd Birthday party. We were very excited to go a visit since we do not get to she Shannon, Ross, Kendal and Kayden hat often anymore. We really do miss them living 5 minutes away!

The party was at the Sprinkler park...which was a blast for Tegan.

After all of the kids played in the water it was time for the Olympic Games.
All the kids lined up to start the first event.

Tegan taking his turn at the Shut Put throw.

Next was the long jump contest which actually turned into the hopping race.

Shannon made a Olympic Ring cupcake cake that turned out great!

Waiting very patiently.

As you can tell all the kids really enjoyed their cupcakes.

The birthday boy showing off his cake!

We finished off the party playing at the park for a few minutes.
Tegan was very sad to leave and asked, "Kendal's house Mommy?" the whole way home!
We can not wait to play again soon!

Logan's 1st Birthday Party

This past weekend we went to our good friend's Nick and Kendra's little boy Logan's 1st birthday party. It was a John Deere Theme birthday. I offered to make the cake and cup cakes for the party and they turned out great!

The tractor cake.

I found the cutest recipe for corn on the cob cup cakes. I was a little nervous to make them but I think they really looked like corn on the cob!

Logan waiting for his birthday cake!!!

It did not take long for him to get the hang of it!

Tegan taking his turn with the pinata.

Digging in for the candy!

Tegan ended up getting 5 suckers from the pinata. He ended up opening all of them and walked around with them in his hand. Luckily he only ate one and just carried the rest around.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOGAN!
