Swimming Lessons

Tegan started swimming lessons this Saturday at the Apex Center. It is a parent and tot class and I am the lucky one to get in the pool with him. He did such a good job waiting for his lesson to start.

"How much longer?"

Tegan got a little bored waiting so he decided that he should play in the water for a bit. We were surprised how brave he was this time. Typically he wants us to walk into the water with him but this time he just took off by himself.

Practicing his front float and paddling with his hands.

"Hey Dad!"

One, Two, Three...JUMP!

Tegan did really good job holding himself up with the wall.

Tegan thought the alligator crawl and blowing bubbles in the water was pretty funny!

Tegan had a wonderful first lesson. I was surprised at how well he did and he even followed directions great. We can not wait for next week!

Stacy's 28th Birthday

Stacy's 28th birthday was on April 2nd. We had a great week of celebrating. My parents came over and surprised Stacy with a new mailbox. They were able to get it put together without waking him up (Since he was sleeping due to working the night shift.) My mom had put tons of ballons on the mailbox but I did not get a picture because Stacy took them down before I got home.

Birthday Celebration at Stacy's Mom's House

On Sunday the 30th we went to Stacy's mom's house to celebrate his birthday with his mom, Matthew and Ashlee. Tegan and Matthew had a Easter Egg Hunt when we first got there. Tegan is getting pretty good at finding the eggs.

Happy 28th Birthday Stacy!

Tegan always has so much fun playing with Matthew!

Poker Night

On Saturday the 29th we had some friends over for a "get together/poker party" to celebrate Stacy's birthday. It is always so much fun to get together with everyone! Our good friend Dave's brother and girlfriend just moved to Colorado and brought there son Logan over to play with Tegan. Tegan had a blast playing with Logan.

I tried to be really creative with Stacy's birthday present this year. I had ordered it in January and received it almost a week before his poker party. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not good with surprises! It was so hard to keep it from him as long as I did. I decided to let him open it a little early and of course Tegan had to help him open it!

I ordered this plate from a man in Nebraska who custom makes them for police officers. It was a difficult process because I had to send him pictures of Stacy's badge..which none of them came out. So I ended up video taping the badge and finally it worked! Everything on the plate is hand carved out of wood or ivory. Stacy was very surprised and loved it! You can see all of the details if you click on the picture.

My hunny and I!

The guys were nice enough to pose for a picture.

Visit from Amy

Last week my good friend Amy came to Colorado for a visit. She has been in the Navy for over a year and most recently was been based in Pensacola, Florida. (If you can not tell she has a MUCH better tan than I do right now!) She got a 2 week leave and is now on her way to Maryland for two years. It was so good to get together for dinner and catch up!

Tegan the Climber

Tegan has always been a climber. He climbs on top of the couches, the counters, tables and pretty much anywhere he can get to before we see and make him get down. It is starting to get a little scary. The other day I opened the back door for Tegan to go outside, grabbed my camera because he was going to ride his bike. The second I looked outside he had already made it up the tree house ladder!
Of course I had to take one picture before I ran and got him down!

Bath Time Fun!

We (I guess I should say Stacy) has been in the process of completely remodeling Tegan's bathroom. Stacy has been working really hard and I of course offer some very helpful suggestions! I am realy excited to have a new bathroom but the down fall has been that we have been without a bath tub for a few weeks. Anyone who has kids knows this is not fun. We have been having to take turns showering with Tegan every night! Stacy got the new tub in the other night and Tegan was soooo excited to try it out.

He ran around the bathroom yelling, "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah". As you can tell by the pictures there is still ALOT of work to be done but we are excited to atleast have a bath tub!

Our Little Diaper Head

Lately it seems like changing Tegan's diaper has become a very difficult task. I have been using some distraction techniques to make it a little easier for all parties involved.

Last week he was fighting his diaper change so bad that I decided to put it on his head instead.Which has now became the diaper hat. Now whenever we go to his room to change his diaper he says, "Mommy hat?" Then puts out his hands like he is wondering where it is.

You would think since he hates diapers so much he might want to try and use the potty....no such luck!.

Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a wonderful day. We spent the morning at home hunting for the easter eggs the Easter Bunny had hid and then headed off to church.

Tegan was so excited to find all of the hidden EGGS!
He would get super excited every time he found another egg.

Showing daddy all of his eggs.

We finally got Tegan to take a second to pose for a picture.

Checking out what the Easter Bunny left inside his eggs.

White Fence Farm

After church we went to the yummy restaurant White Fence Farm. It is usually atleast a two hour wait to eat at White Fence Farm but it is always worth the wait. There are lots of activities to keep the kids busy. Tegan and Jewels loved playing in the tree house.

Our little piggy!.

Checking out the fish.

Tegan and Jewels loved the ball bounce.
